Theology & Biblical Studies

Trevecca’s Master of Arts in theology and biblical studies combines foundational truths with the latest research and commentary on what it means to follow Christ in the 21st century. As a student in the program, you’ll enjoy coursework designed to move beyond head knowledge into transformative instruction that impacts who you are and how you engage the world. Spiritual formation exercises like Scripture reading, daily prayer and practices of silence and simplicity are woven into every course.

You’ll also learn to apply methods of theological and biblical study to current, critical issues such as human relationships; theology’s role in increasingly diverse cultures; the intersection of technology and imagination; how belief systems shape our views of gender, economics, race, and creation care; what it means to live in Christian community; and the role of theology in daily life. Our optional summer intensives provide additional opportunities to study on our Nashville campus or to take part in domestic and international trips .
